All believers in Christ know that God is able to do all things. In our Christian lives, we sing, pray, praise and worship Him in acknowledgement.

But the important question to ask ourselves, dearly beloved, is whether we truly believe this enough to claim in faith and see God’s power and ability manifest in our lives.

Paul says in Ephesians 3:20 that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Wow! how great is that! What a privilege and boost for all believers to know that our God’s ability to do goes beyond the limits of even what minds can imagine!

Every true believer desires a closer relationship with the Lord. We want to lead lives that will honour God and serve Him faithfully. On our own, we know it will be difficult to achieve these spiritual goals, but thank God there are no limits to His power. He is our ultimate source of ultimate power—the Holy Spirit and the Word of God; and He avails this rich resource to us readily and freely!

Our God is “able” to empower us (Eph. 3:16-19); to enable us to know His love (Acts 1:8); to show that same love to others (Eph. 3:19); to enable us to understand Who He is and all that He has done for us in Jesus Christ (Rom 5:5).

Beloved, why then are we not taking advantage of this privilege and open invitation, I ask?

What would you really like God to do in your life? with your life?

Speak to God. Go boldly to Him. Ask and claim in confidence because He is Able. And for His glory, He will in all certainty help us move our mountains, transform lives, lift burdens, meet needs and whatever challenges we may presently be struggling with.

Let us therefore yield to God as it is our duty. Let us continue to walk in God’s power and love, and be filled with the fullness of the Lord. Let us also learn to tap into His awesome power and allow His power to transcend our weaknesses and enable us to accomplish great things for His glory!

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord for our God is more than Able!
