Every believer is enlisted in a battle.  Christian life is a battle ground not a playground that he faces an enemy  who is much stronger than he is. “Be strong in the Lord and  in His mighty power” v.10.

We must be strong in character, in faith, in Bible knowledge and in prayer. Some battles are too tough for us.  But we have a powerful Saviour.  Jesus said “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matt 28 : 18). This change the picture.  We can exchange our weakness for His strength.

“But those who hope (wait) in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isa. 40 : 31).

“We can do everything through Christ who give us strength” (Phil. 4 : 13).

We are EQUIPPED to WIN.  “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand” Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in peace, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayer and request. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints” (Eph. 6 : 13 – 18).

Our armour protects us as we advance.  Our crucified and Living LORD gives the victory. “This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (1 John 5 : 4).

With love & Prayer.  Pastor Ang
