Hezekiah was a King dedicated to God called the nation back to God and there was revival and great joy in Jerusalem.

In everything Hezekiah undertook in the service of God, he sought his God and work wholeheartedly. And so he prospered. However, his godly stance led into opposition. 2 Timothy 3:12 tells us, “Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”

The Assyrian King Sennacherits had come to wage war against Jerusalem. The King also wrote letters insulting God. Hezekiah took the letters and spread out before God, who sent an angel to annihilate all the fighting men and officers in the camp of the Assyrian. The victory was 100% God’s doing.

God is: my tower that never crumbles, my hiding place that never closes, my provider – whose shelves are never empty. My father – who is never too busy to be with His child. My physician who still makes house calls.
