Christmas: Jesus, the reason for the season for our celebration

Dec 25, 15 Christmas: Jesus, the reason for the season for our celebration

Jesus isn’t just the reason for the season. He is the reason for everyday life and we celebrate the symbolism of His birth.

Let us accept Him into our lives because He came to give redemption and everlasting life to us through His grace and mercy.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (Luke 4:18 KJV)

Christmas is about making room for Jesus.

Unless you accept Christ, your Christmas is incomplete as it symbolized the birth/ coming of Christ.

– Christmas means worship
– Christmas also means the grace of giving

The wise men brought forth gifts of gold, frankincense, myrrh for Jesus.
Gold: a gift for the King acknowledging Him as King
Frankincense: incense used by priests, acknowledging Him as High Priest.
Myrrh: used in embalming in burial rites, symbolizing the death of Christ as a sacrifice for us

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV)
