God delivers & rescues us from the pit

Dec 04, 16 God delivers & rescues us from the pit

I WAITED patiently for the LORD;

 And He inclined to me,

 And heard my cry. (Psalm 40:1 )

Today we look at instances of how the Lord delivers us from The Pits..

The pits of our lives can be – sickness and poor health,  fear and worries, financial difficulties, addictions to substances, materialism, lust etc and many more things that bind us.

From this He will deliver us, as we call on Him. And to His service we abide obedience, love, which is far greater than any other offerings we can give.

God delivered David and blessed him

– lifted him out of the slimy pit: when King Saul wanted his life

– set his feet on the rock as King of Israel

for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? (1 Corinthians 3:3 NKJV)
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of (Galatians 5:19 – 5:20 NKJV)
wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires (Galatians 5:20 – 5:24 NKJV)

Oh, sing to the LORD a new song!
Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name;

Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day (Psalm 96:1 – 96:2 NKJV)
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:  “God resists the proud,

But gives grace to the humble.“ (James 4:6 NKJV)

Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second (Hebrews 10:8 – 10:9 NKJV)
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,

And to present you faultless

Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior,

Who alone is wise,

By glory and majesty,

Dominion and power,

Both now and forever.

Amen (Jude 1:24 – 1:25 NKJV)
