Giving: Building Funds

“Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”

Mark 4:25 (The Message)

We believe the Christian life is to be one of generosity and the giving of our finances is one area we can be involved in this generous life.

When it comes to the area of giving our monies for a great cause, it is vital to take the time to organise, plan and budget what we give. In taking the time to engage our mind to carefully consider our giving we can then proceed surely, allowing our heart to fully engage.

There are two key areas of financial giving at ALFC:

1. First Giving

2. Build Our Future Trust

1. First giving . the local church

“Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best.”

Proverbs 3:9-10 (The Message)

“I want each of you to take plenty of time to think over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.”

2 Corinthians 9:7 (The Message)

We encourage all regular attendees, and especially those who are Partners of the Church, to think, pray and enjoy giving generously in the biblical practice of First Giving. Through this, we both honour God and participate in a practical and concrete way in the ministry and outreach that is the Church.

2. Build our future trust

Vision Builders is the building fund of ALFC called Future Fund.  Vision Builders however is more than a building; it’s about building our future vision and the positive impact we believe Church can have on our city. The building is part of facilitating a vision to reach people for Christ, hold events that demonstrate the greatness of God, help people live their best life through training and equipping and where we can serve the community.

We serve an awesome God and we believe in giving Him our very best in everything.

“He gives you something you can then giveaway, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.”

2 Corinthians 9:10b-11 (The Message)
